A unique take on traditional Italian food. Palazzo has a lot to offer, not only including good food and drinks but also history and beautiful views. The crepe lasagna is a knock out, as are their desserts. A tour of the building and s little history lesson adds to the atmosphere and dining experience.

Went with a party of 10 for Easter Brunch. I was not going to write a public review until I did not hear back from the restaurant after emailing them about my experience. 1. When I made the reservation I specifically asked to be on the first floor as we had some elderly members in our party that would have a hard time negotiating the stairs. We were seated on the second floor. No elevator. 2. They ran out of the item I ordered but that was not communicated to the staff prior to placing my order. 3. The food was mediocre at best. For $34.99 per person I expect the food, service and atmosphere to be exceptional. We walked out the door, after having spent $720.00 for food and drinks, feeling not too good about the experience. The only thing that saved me giving this review one star was the service. Tracey did an exceptional job. Brunch is overrated and under-delivered on holidays. If you want to capture that market at that price point, make sure you are going to do an exceptional job.

I am a regular here and can’t say enough about the staff, the food and the historic atmosphere. Each room is so cozy and original to 1837. Love Wednesdays with Noah behind the bar! Love Sunday Brunches and typically dine once a week for lunch or dinner. They seasonally change menus which keeps it fresh for me. My go-to is the Crepe Lasagna with a delicious meat sauce over it. I also like to partake in their specials which are always interesting. If you are in Washington, this is by far the best restaurant to dine in.

Oh man I wish I could give zero stars for this place, but I will give a one star because the restaurant is an old Victorian style house. We were placed in an actually private room that was off of the main upstairs dining area, it would've been really romantic and quiet but the wait staff managed to ruin the entire experience. We were never waited on, never even got a waitress to come over and take our drink order and a waitress walked by our table twice. Finally, after 10-15 minutes the hostess gave us bread and water. We waited another 15 minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge our existence but she didn't. The waitress did however have time to take everyone else's order in other rooms and drink orders and even run to the kitchen and back to let a table know about how many specials they had left. We left after giving them a total of 35 minutes for SOMEONE to take our order but we never received anymore attention other than getting virtually stale bread and water from the hostess. We told the hostess how long we waited for someone to come to our table and that we were leaving but she said nothing. No apologies, nothing. We went to Buford's after and had amazing food and were waited on promptly. We will never be back to Palazzo 1837.

We throughly enjoyed our dining experience at Palazzo 1837 Ristorante . The food was perfect very flavorful and the desserts to die for. What made it all even more special was Megan. Her attention to our needs and answers to our questions are the reason we will be returning to enjoy another wonderful experience at your charming restaurante.
